Troy Lambert

President, Website and Tech Support Manager

Troy Lambert is a freelance writer, mystery author, editor, and the education lead for the writing software Plottr. He loves helping other writers tell better stories through editing and coaching.

When not behind the screen of his computer, he can be found in the foothills around his home or in a local brewery with his best friends and a very talented dog, often enlisted to write blog posts.

Danielle Parker

Vice President, Conference Assistant and Contest Chair

Danielle Parker is an Urban Fantasy author obsessed with monsters and writing about them. When she was five-years-old she told her parents she wanted to be a writer when she grew up. She’s been typing away creating exciting characters, series, and stories since. It took her a while but her first novel, Pure of Heart, came out in 2015 – and there’s more to follow.

She currently resides in Boise, Idaho with her husband and two dorky dogs. When she isn’t chasing the dream of being a full-time author she works in the government. When she’s not at work or writing, you’re most likely to find her at a local pub trying the latest craft brew with the Berts, or practicing martial arts.

She is not a werewolf, but there may be something to the vampire rumors.

Sherry Briscoe

Immediate Past President

Sherry Briscoe is an award-winning author of mystery, suspense, and supernatural thrillers. Her childhood heroes were Alfred Hitchcock and Edgar Allan Poe, and she insists that episodes of  The Twilight Zone  made perfectly fine bedtime stories. A native Idahoan with Cajun and Cherokee heritage, she holds degrees in Journalism, Photography, and Adult Education. She is a world traveler, US Army Veteran, founder of the Idaho Screenwriters Association, active board member of the Idaho Writers Guild, and professional speaker and workshop facilitator.

James T. Lambert

Board Member

James T. Lambert writes science-fiction, urban fantasy, and a little steampunk from his writing office/land yacht ‘Bertrude’. By day he breaks carefully constructed code conceived by clever coders, while by night he sorts strings of syllibant sentences for story structure. Since his first novel-length project in the 2011 NaNoWriMo, he’s been polishing his craft, working toward his overnight success after ten years. Other than writing and breaking things, Jim also enjoys reading, movies, comics, theater, boardgames, Scotch, craft beer, hot air ballooning, and having far too many hobbies.

Leigh Robbins

Treasurer

Leigh Robbins lives a dual life, accountant by day, writer by night. He is the current treasurer for the Idaho Writers Guild. He has seven years of experience as an accountant, and spends his free time writing in the science fiction and fantasy genres. He also dabbles in romance when he thinks no one is looking.

Kate Baray

Board Member

Kate Baray writes page-turning urban fantasy with relatable characters.  When Kate’s not tapping away at her keyboard or in deep contemplation of her next fanciful writing project, she’s sweeping up hairy dust bunnies and watching British mysteries.  Kate is from Austin, Texas (where many of her stories take place) but has recently migrated north to Boise, Idaho, where soup season (her favorite time of year) lasts more than two weeks.  She’s worked as an attorney, a dog trainer, and in various other positions, but writer is the hands-down winner. She’s thankful readers keep reading, so she can keep writing!  Kate also writes cozy mysteries as Cate Lawley
