Boise Book Fair

On November 4, from 10a-2p, the Downtown Library will be hosting the first Boise Public Library Book Faire! Planned in conjunction with the annual Family Reading Week event in November, the faire will provide an opportunity for attendees to increase their access to materials, elevate literacy and lifelong learning, strengthen connections with community organizations, such as The Cabin and The Writer’s Guild, as well as local authors. Activities for the faire include: an artist’s alley for local authors; panel discussions with local authors; workshops presented by library staff on topics ranging from the best reads of the year, incorporating early literacy skills at home, using library technology such as Libby and Ida, and tips for finding materials that are right for your family. Local authors will be able to sell their books in our Author’s Alley. The link for authors to apply for a free table will be up in the next week on the Boise Public Library website. Space is limited.
